Kathy Allan
8th Grade English/CP and Honors
Kathy Allan, who has 19 years of teaching experience, returned to USJ last year to teach 8th grade English. This is her 15th year at USJ.
Besides 13 years of teaching in USJ’s Lower School, Allan also has taught at Harding Academy in Nashville and in St. Louis.
She graduated from Webster University in St. Louis with a bachelor’s degree in English and teaching certification. She has several hours towards her masters degree at the University of Memphis.
She and her husband, Michael, have two children, Christian and Britton, who are both USJ graduates. They also have three grandchildren. In her spare time, she likes traveling, reading and playing with her grandchildren.
“I love USJ and I love teaching,” Allan says. “It is an honor to be backat USJ.”
