Gabriela Bittner

Lower School Spanish

Gabriela Bittner teaches Spanish to Cubs through second grade.

She has been at USJ for five years, and has been in education for a total of seven years. Gabriela, who is a member of the Tennessee Foreign Language Teachers Association, graduated from the German Business School in Quito-Ecuador. She has taught both German and Spanish.

“The goal is to teach students Spanish language skills in an enjoyable, effective manner,” she said. “The Spanish language program at USJ exposes children to the sounds of the Spanish language through listening and speaking Spanish during language immersion.”

Mrs. Bittner also enjoys reading, exercising and spending time with her husband and three children. She has lived in three different countries, which allowed her to experience first hand three distinct cultures – Latin, German and American. She enjoys teaching at USJ because it is “considered one of the most excellent educational institutions in western Tennessee.
