Amanda Bullion

Fourth Grade

An educator for 10 years, Amanda Bullion is in her fifth year at USJ as a 4th grade teacher.

She has a bachelor's degree in business from Lambuth and a masters in education with a certification in special education from Tennessee Technological University.

Mrs. Bullion says, “As a teacher and a mother, I am well aware that an education extends beyond academics and into the development of a child’s character.  I want to lead by example, creating a setting that is conducive to the overall well-being of my students.”

"It is my desire to build a positive rapport with my students so that each of them will strive to perform to the best of their capabilities. I believe in each one of them and want them to experience academic success in my classroom... My daily responsibilities as a teacher are enormous, challenging, and extremely rewarding."

Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Trevor, and her children Mary-Tate, Parker, and Emma.

She enjoys working at USJ because of the healthy work environment, encouraging faculty, supportive parents, and eager students. She says, "I thoroughly enjoy teaching at USJ. The work environment is outstanding. The administration and faculty welcomed me with open arms and have been an encouragement to me every step of the way. The parents of my students have been extremely supportive and kind. And, last but not least, my students bring joy and lots of smiles into my classroom each and every day."
