Brad Dyer

Eighth Grade Physical Science

Brad Dyer teaches eighth grade science and is the varsity baseball coach. Brad has 12 years of teaching experience and has been at USJ since 2002. Before joining USJ's faculty, he taught four years in Henderson County and two years for Madison County schools.

Brad has a bachelor of science in Human Learning with an emphasis in math and science from UT Martin, where he also played baseball. He is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association.

His teaching philosophy, he says, "is to teach students not only to succeed in the academic setting, but also to be able to apply that learning to the real world."

Brad grew up in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School. He has two children, both at USJ: Blair is in fourth grade, and Brooke is in second grade.

"The atmosphere at USJ allows me to be the best teacher that I can strive to be, and it allows the students to learn at the highest possible level."
