Dian Eddleman

6th and 8th grade music, 9th grade Chorus, USJ Singers and Chamber Choir

Dian Eddleman has a B.A. in Music Education from Harding University.
 
She is State Choral Chair and on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Music Education Association and President-Elect of the West Tennessee Music Educators Association. Her professional memberships also include Music Educators National Conference, American Choral Directors Association, and Tennessee Education Association.
 
She has taught music in kindergarten through 12th grade at Jackson Christian School and for the Madison County Public Schools. She also was a Conference Clinician at Union University.
 
"Music plays an integral part of each student's education as well as their own self expression," Dian says. "I intend to inspire the USJ choral students to realize their great potential and achieve an even higher level of the choral art. USJ is well known in our community for an outstanding fine arts program. I hope to extend this reputation outside of the Jackson-Madison County area into the choral realm through out the Mid-South.
 
Dian and her husband, Phillip, have two grown children. Jeremiah received his B.S. and M.S. in Agriculture at Murray State University. Jessica is a senior at the University of Tennessee in Martin, majoring in animal science.

Teacher receives honors

Dian Eddleman was selected state choral chair for the Tennessee Music Education Association for 2008-2010. She previously held this position from 2004 to 2006. Dian was one of 20 choral and instrumental directors from across the United States selected to attend the Walt Disney World Music Educators’ Colloquium, a preview weekend of attractions and music education programs at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
