Anne Fine

Upper School English II Honors and CP, AP English III

Raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Anne Fine received a B.S. in English and secondary education from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and an M.A. in English literature from the University of Memphis. She also has received AP training at the University of Alabama. 

With 16 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Fine has taught both high school and middle school English in Mississippi and Tennessee. She is in her fifth year of teaching at USJ. Mrs. Fine is co-sponsor of the Upper School's Honor Council with teacher Carla Roach.

"Teaching literature is so vital to life because it exposes students to the realities of the human being and the need for compassion toward others," she says.

Mrs. Fine and her husband James have two daughters. Both attend Mississippi State University.
