Jimmy Glosson
Upper School Spanish
Jimmy Glosson is in his 11th year at USJ teaching Spanish. He teaches Spanish I, Honors Spanish III, and AP Spanish Language.
He has a bachelor of arts in Spanish from the University of Memphis and a masters in education in Spanish from Union University. His professional associations include TFLTA, ACTFL, and AATSP.
As a teacher, Mr. Glosson feels that with a “strong communicative and direct method of instruction,” he can “instill a passion for learning and speaking Spanish.”
He spends his free time playing basketball, reading, singing, watching movies, and acting. He also serves as assistant director on Upper School musicals. He had a starring role in last year's USJ production of "Pirates of Penzance."
Since he and his wife, Julie, both teach Spanish, they speak English and Spanish to their two children at home. Mr. Glosson enjoys being part of the “USJ Family” and all of the support he receives.
