Tom Grant

Upper and Middle School band

Tom Grant teaches Upper and Middle School band and has been instrumental in the growth of USJ's band program. He also teaches sixth grade music.

He has been teaching for 19 years and has been at USJ for the past five.

Mr. Grant has been nominated to Who's Who among America's Teachers seven times.

Tom and his wife, Tammy, have two sons at USJ.

Band Director Honored

Tom Grant, USJ’s Director of Bands, was invited to participate in the 2007 Middle Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association’s All Middle Tennessee Honor Band Clinic as a guest conductor and clinician. As the conductor, Grant selected and prepared the music that the 107-member ensemble performed at the culminating concert in the MTSU theater.

This is a distinct honor for Grant, and he says “I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to conduct at such a prestigious event.”
