Jim Hardegree
Upper/Middle School Dean of Students
Jim Hardegree is the Upper and Middle School Dean of Students. He also is an assistant coach on the football team, serving as defensive coordinator.
Jim has a B.S. in health and physical education with a minor in science and a M.S. in educational administration and supervision. Both of his degrees are from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He is a member of the American Football Coaches Association, Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association, and Tennessee Football Coaches Association.
He has spent 29 years as a teacher, coach, and administrator. Besides his last four years at USJ, Jim taught 13 years total at Jackson Central-Merry, North Side and Huntingdon high schools, five years at the University of Tennessee at Martin, and seven years at Lambuth University.
His wife, Adair, is the USJ cheerleading coach. They have two children: Bo, who has a bachelor's degree from UT in Knoxville, is in graduate school at Duke University; and Bill, a 2008 USJ graduate, who has a football scholarship at UTM.
