John Herriman

Upper School Science

John Herriman began teaching ecology at USJ in 1996; he started the AP Environmental Science program in 2004.  He has served as an AP reader for the College Board since 2000. He also teaches freshman biology and has coached the USJ envirothon teams since 1996. This year they will be going for their 12th consecutive region championship.
 
Mr. Herriman has a bachelor of science degree from Union University where he majored in biology with a chemistry and secondary education minor. He is certified to teach biology, chemistry, general science, and driver's education. He teaches the USJ's driver's education course each June and also coaches middle school football.
 
Mr. Herriman is a USJ graduate.  (Old Hickory Academy class of 1973)
