Chris Leonardi

Middle School French

Chris Leonardi has been with USJ for ten years as a Middle School French teacher and the high school boy’s and girl’s soccer coach.

As a teacher, his goal is to expose his students to a new culture and to “educate the children about their surroundings in the world, specifically the French speaking world.”

For several years, he has led a group of students and parents to French-speaking Quebec, Canada, over winter break.

Mr. Leonardi moved to Jackson from France when he was just sixteen years old. Back home, he has two younger brothers and one younger sister.

Before attending Lambuth Universtiy, Mr. Leonardi was a kicker for North Side his senior year. Besides soccer, he is a Tennessee Titans fan and is starting to enjoy NASCAR. His wife's name is Leigh Ann; they married in November 2005.

He likes teaching at USJ, he says. "I like the support you get from everyone in academics and athletics. People really care about how you are doing in the classroom or on the field."
