Shane Lynch
American History, AP European History
Shane Lynch teaches American History and AP European History at USJ. An educator for more than 20 years, Mr. Lynch has taught 15 years at USJ. Before coming to USJ, he taught in the Memphis City Schools, at East High School, where he served as Athletic Director, Baseball Coach, Swimming Coach and Department Chair. He also taught three years in Humboldt where he served as Athletic Director and Softball Coach.
Mr. Lynch has a bachelor of arts degree in social science from Union University and has done graduate work at the University of Memphis in history. He is a member of the National Association of Social Studies Teachers.
Mr. Lynch also serves as Scoutmaster for Troop 102 (USJ's Boy Scout Troop). He serves on the Executive Board of the West Tennessee Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and is a member ot the South Gibson Camp of the Gideons.
His wife, Libby, is the Upper School Art Teacher at USJ. They have two children: Trey is currently deployed to the Middle East with the Tennessee National Guard. AnnElizabeth is a senior at USJ and a member of the Golf and Track Teams.
