Clare Royer

AP U.S. History, World History

Clare Royer has been an educator since 1973 and has taught at USJ since 1993. She has a B.A. from Salem College with majors in English and history and a masters of education from the University of Memphis. She is a member of the National Council for the Social Studies.

Clare serves as the head of USJ’s History Department and is the sponsor for the Upper School's mock trial team.

Clare and her husband, Bill, have a daughter, Chris.

"I strive to instill in my students a love of learning with an emphasis on a love of history," she says. "My goal is to prepare my students for success in college history classes."
