Louise Rudesill
Kindergarten Assistant
After retiring from the classroom at the end of the 2006-2007 school year, Louise Rudesill returns to USJ this year as a kindergarten assistant.
Louise has 27 years of teaching experience, with 22 of those years teching three- and four-year-olds at USJ.
Louise believes in making learning fun for young children. "Children need a happy, safe, and loving learning environment," she says. "My goal for young children is to help instill a love of learning that will hopefully last a lifetime."
Louise and her husband, Dan, have a son, Rick. She is an avid reader, and enjoys cooking and spending time with her family. Dan taught at USJ in the early 1970s, and Rick taught at USJ in the early 1990s, making them perhaps the only father, mother, and son who have all taught at the school.
"One of the special things about USJ," Louise says, "is the feeling of family and community. After teaching young children, you still have contact with them and their families throughout their years at USJ. They remain a part of your life."
