Nathan Smith

Middle School Spanish

Nathan Smith, Class Essayist and 2003 USJ graduate, will teach two classes of seventh grade Spanish and will join the Middle School football team as an assistant coach.

Nathan was the top graduate from the College of Agriculture Sciences and Natural Resources at the University of Tennessee in December 2006. He is in the application process at the UT Health and Science Center for admission to UT’s College of Medicine for the fall of 2008.

During the last school year, Nathan substitute taught several classes, including 8th grade math, 7th grade Spanish, and 8th grade Spanish.

The son of Dr. Clyde and Jean Smith, Nathan spent 14 years as a USJ student. His three brothers, Garrison, Colin, and Jace are USJ graduates.

“I am excited that I have the opportunity to continue to be a part of the University School of Jackson,” he says. “USJ has given me so much, that I am thrilled to be able to give something back!”
