Linda Yates

Second Grade

An educator for 30 years, Linda Yates has been teaching at USJ for 25 years. She has a bachelor of science in education from the University of Memphis and is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. 

As a second grade teacher, she believes in “individualizing instruction for my students as much as possible. I love to give my students a challenge and watch them ‘rise to the occasion!’” 

Outside of the classroom, she enjoys reading and cooking. Her family includes her husband, Boyce, and her son, Brian. 

She enjoys working at USJ because the eagerness of the students to learn, the supportive parents, and her colleagues.
