2008 Junior Kindergarten Back-to-School Information

Junior Kindergarten Supply List

Everyone bring these items in August:

1  42x18, 1/2-inch mat (no oversized 48” x 23” mats accepted). A 2 inch mat is required, no pillows. Label
1  Mat cover and blanket (these are required by the Department of Education).  Label. Mat covers will be available for sale during Parent Orientation.
1  Full set of extra clothes in a sealed bag (similar to uniforms)  Label clothes and bag
1 Large zipper backpack--large enough for lunch box, Friday folder and other items and that your child is able to independently pack and unpack.  (NO wheels, key chains, or toys)  Label
2 Solid color PLASTIC pocket folders (No dark colors please) Label inside only, small print
2  50-count pack of multi-colored construction paper
1  1/2 inch white, 3 ring binder, with clear view pocket in front and back
1 bottle of hand sanitizer


Girls bring the following items in August:

3 80 count containers of Wet Wipes in rectangle box, plus 3 refills
4 boxes of gallon size plastic bags (any brand—no slider seals)
3 boxes of quart size plastic bags (any brand—no slider seals)
2 sets of Crayola water colors
8 glue sticks, small size, white or clear (no colors please)
4 boxes 8-count Crayola crayons (small size)
2 boxes 24-count Crayola crayons
3 bags 6-count Cello non-abrasive sponges
2 cube boxes of Kleenex tissues w/lotion (cube boxes, please)
1 box Crayola broad tip washable markers (classic or pastel)
1 box Crayola fine-tip washable markers
1 disposable camera w/flash (Kodak or Fuji)
2 boxes of 24 count #2 pencils (yellow, pre-sharpened)
1 box, 8-count, broad tip dry erase markers
2 boxes 24-count colored pencils

Other Back to School Notes:
• All students are asked to bring a $10 Art fee for the Art Department. Check (to USJ) or cash.
• Please bring a wallet-size photo of your child to Parent Orientation.  It will be used on bulletin board displays throughout the school year.
