Overview of USJ Libraries

The Upper/Middle School Library and the Lower School Library offer valuable resources for learning and enjoyment. Good college preparatory schools can be measured by the resources the library affords its students. USJ's two libraries are designed to complement the course study of each grade level and offer students an environment where research and learning is fun and enriching.

The USJ Libraries provide access to a number of electronic research databases, which students, staff, and parents can access on campus or from home. Library databases give full text access to scholarly research and information in subjects across all disciplines.

The USJ Libraries have been able to upgrade equipment, purchase software programs, and add to their collections with donations from the USJ Mothers' Club and the Academic Support Group and through the sale of books at the libraries' twice yearly book fairs. The Academic Support Group, for example, funded a staff position to open the Lower School library during the summer and funded the subscription to several electronic databases.
