Field Trip to Chickasaw State Park

On September 30, second graders took a trip to Chickasaw State Park. While there they had a fantastic time finding four different trees, collecting a leaf, doing the stencilling of the leaf and the tree bark; it was most like a scavenger hunt. They also enjoyed finding the special fifth tree and seeing how different it was from the others.

 

 

Johnny Appleseed Day!

On Friday, September 23, the second grade celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day.

• After the second grade classes talked about being safe online in computer class, each second grade class then worked together to make up a story. The stories have been published online at http://www.kids-space.org/story/class/25USJ.html.
