Upper School Grade-Level Charts

Look at the chart for your next year's grade to determine which courses are available to you. Read about any course that you know you will take or that you might be interested in taking, paying special attention to any prerequisites. (Link to Upper School Courses) If you wish to be recommended for an honors or AP course, you must speak to your teacher or the department chair. The recommendation of the department is required as noted in the course descriptions.

Check the requirements listed for your grade to be sure that you know what is required of you.  Be sure that you are on track for meeting your graduation requirements and that you are not postponing too many requirements (especially in the arts) for too long.

Unlike many colleges and public schools where the student must fit into a predetermined schedule, we make every attempt to design your schedule around your requests and needs. Our method takes a lot more time and effort, but we think it is worth it. Our goal is to give each student the best possible schedule; however, because of the number of courses we offer, it may not be possible for all students to be scheduled for precisely what they requested.  Based on staffing, enrollment and other considerations, the school reserves the right not to offer courses listed in this handout.

To be complete, your registration form must be signed by your parents and you and then returned to the college counseling office.
