2005-2006 Middle School Basketball

For the first time, the Middle School Girls Basketball team won the TNT State Tournament. They defeated Forrest 34-33 on Saturday to win the Class 4A State Championship. Five team members won awards. Adrian Sanders, Hunter Day, and Kayla Petty were named to the All-Tournament Team and Halie Miller and Sara Muir won Honorable Mention awards. The tournament ended the girls season with a 21-0 overall record. Coaches are Gabe Hart and Joe North.

All the Way to State

The Girls Varsity Basketball team finished their winter 2004-2005 season as runners-up to the state championship. This is the best the team has finished in its history. The girls beat the defending state champion, Clarkrange, in the semi-finals, 58-55. They lost to Trenton Peabody in the state finals, 62-51. Named to the state All-Tournament team were seniors Courtney Alvey and Katie Brush and sophomore Becca Morris. Courtney and Becca also were named to the All-State team.

The 2005 Varsity Girls Basketball Team was runner-up to the state championship.
