Glover sets record in win
Glover, with his 53-point output, set an individual and school single-game record when the Bruins defeated Middleton, 79-66, in the McNairy County High School Christmas Classic, Dec. 28. This breaks the record he set on Dec. 16 against FCA when he scored 47.

Congratulations to John Ross Glover, who was named TSSAA Mr. Basketball, 2010-11, for Region II at the conclusion of the state tournament at Lipscomb University in Nashville. John Ross was a finalist for the title in 2009-2010.
John Ross also has been named to the Division II All-State Basketball Team for 2011 by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association and to The Jackson Sun's All-West first team for 2011.
All-State
The Tennessee Sports Writers Association named both John Ross Glover and E.J. Miller to its 2010 All-State team for Division II Basketball.
All the Way to State in 2004-2005
The Girls Varsity Basketball team finished its winter 2004-2005 season as runners-up to the state championship. This is the best the team has finished in its history. The girls beat the defending state champion, Clarkrange, in the semi-finals, 58-55. They lost to Trenton Peabody in the state finals, 62-51. Named to the state All-Tournament team were seniors Courtney Alvey and Katie Brush and sophomore Becca Morris. Courtney and Becca also were named to the All-State team.
