Courtney Cape selected to UCA Summer Staff

Senior Courtney Cape has quite a bit to cheer about this summer. She was
selected by the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) to be a part of its
cheerleading instructor staff. To earn the coveted cheerleading summer job,
Courtney competed against cheerleaders from area universities, including University of Memphis and Middle Tennessee State University. Competition to become a part of the UCA staff is rather fierce with 90 percent of the candidates eliminated and most of those selected already attending college.

Six Varsity Cheerleaders selected to UCA All-American Cheerleader Squad

USJ Varsity Cheerleaders Elizabeth Breeden, Courtney Cape, Whitney Culbreath, Morgan Garner, Chloe Cantor and Taylor Gaston were selected as UCA (Universal Cheerleaders Association) All-American Cheerleaders at camp this summer and were invited to participate London New Year's Day Parade. Three of the girls made the decision to travel with the UCA staff and their families to London, England, over Christmas break to cheer in the London's New Years Day Parade. Below, left to right, Elizabeth Breeden, Courtney Cape, and Whitney Culbreath take time out of their practice and performance schedule to take in the sights of London.
