USJ football players and fans, above, celebrate the team's final seconds' win against defending state champions Davidson Academy. USJ then played Knoxville Webb in the state championshhip game in Cookeville. The Bruins lost to Knoxville Webb, 30-0.

Fall 2009 Middle School Football

The Middle School Football Team played in the Tennessee River Bowl on October 14 and defeated Decatur County 12-8 to become the 2009 Tenn. River Bowl Champions. Decatur County had been undefeated. USJ ended its season with a 7-1 record.

Fall 2009 Games DVD

If you would like dvds of the 2009 football season, you may purchase the entire season package for $100. This includes two scrimmages, 10 regular season games, two playoff games and the state championship. You may also purchase individual games at a cost of $10 each.

Head Football Coach Mickey Marley was honored as the 2008 Coach of the Year by the Southwest Football Officials Association. The tribute is based on a vote of public and private school coaches in the Jackson area.
