Academic Support Group
It's Academic!
Our Academic Support Group is an enthusiastic group of parents and USJ staff who enhance and support academic endeavors school wide. Last year, we donated more than $140,000 for academic requests and other school needs. We are hopeful that the fundraisers (Auction 2008-09, Kroger Cards, & Family Library Night) will address our needs. Participation in the ASG is open to all USJ families and is guided by a Steering Committee representative of all academic divisions. We encourage everyone interested in academics to become involved as the ASG’s efforts are a great bonus for all students and faculty!Have an idea for the ASG? There are many ways to get involved!

Become a Brain Booster
Show your support for the Academic Support Group by becoming an ASG Patron. Give $1-$100 to be a Brain Booster. Gifts of $101 qualify you as a Super Brain Booster.

Kroger cards
The Kroger company will give USJ $5 for every $100 we spend using a Kroger gift card issued through USJ. This is perhaps the easiest way to raise money for the school.
Kroger Cards an easy $1,400 a month!
We are receiving an estimated amount of $1,400 per month for just reloading, and using your USJ Kroger cards. Just ask your Kroger cashier to reload your card before you start checking out; it is that simple!
Remember, you can use the card to buy gas. Cards are available at the front counter of both the Lower School and the Upper/Middle School. They are $5 each and come loaded with $5 that you can spend. For more information, contact Angela Spencer, 731.426.2522, naphtspencer@yahoo.com.

Other Projects
You can help USJ earn free merchandise such as computers, sports equipment, a/v equipment, reference books, musical intruments, and class room materials simply by collecting labels from Campbell products that can be redeemed for our school. Learn more...

Want to help?
Are you an enthusiastic parent, grandparent, family friend or relative who believes in the academic excellence of USJ? If so, there are many ASG areas that you can help support.
• Donate an item/party/vacation trip to the Academic Auction each year. For more information contact Auction chairmen Lindsay Siroky or Abby Allen.
• Purchase a $5 Kroger Card at the front counter of either the Lower and Upper/Middle School and go Krogering for USJ! Contact Angela Spencer for details.
• Get involved! We're always looking for parent volunteers to help with the Academic Support Group's goal of identifying academic related needs and planning a way to meet those needs. Contact Debbie Atkins to volunteer with the ASG.
