The Bruins Club provides needed supplemental funding for certain athletic expenses and capital programs. The funding for the Club is generated through concession stand income, Super Booster memberships, and special events, such as sign sales, program sales, and the Jamboree.

The bulk of the revenue sources (75%) come from Super Booster sales, football concessions, and basketball concessions. During 2005-06, Super Booster sales increased by 17% to a record level of $62,650. However, concessions were down dramatically due to decreases in post-season games and an overall decrease in home games in other sports. This was directly related to the move up in TSSAA classification.

Some of the operating expenses funded during the year included upkeep of all outdoor fields during the summer, fall and spring treatments and maintenance, banquets and awards supplements, and other miscellaneous items not covered in other areas of the athletic budget.

Working closely with the USJ Athletic Committee, the Bruins Club remains focused on providing capital funding for projects that enhance the overall programs. A $125,000 capital funding for the lower school gyms is now complete. In the prior year, $30,000 was provided for the resurfacing of the track and tennis courts. In upcoming years, substantial funding is committed to offset the interest on the baseball complex and to supplement the anticipated soccer lighting.
