Arts Guild

All parents, grandparents, and other interested parties are invited and encouraged to join and participate in the Arts Guild.

The Arts Guild supports all of USJ’s visual and performing arts, which includes Band, Music, Art, Theater and Drama Classes starting with Pre-K all the way through 12th grade. A steering committee administers the operational affairs of the Guild and assists the Fine Arts departments, both in financial resources and in volunteer support. Parent volunteers promote all theater productions, maintain the costume closet, sell tickets, work backstage, chaperone trips and have many other opportunities for hands-on involvement. Our funds help pay for theater productions and other fine arts events.  We provide scholarships for summer enrichment and buy supplies and equipment for our Fine Arts teachers.

The Arts Guild meets the second Tuesday of the month at 8:00 a.m. in the Middle School conference room.  Please check calendar for any changes.

Our main financial support is through families who become Patron/Corporate Sponsors. Corporate Sponsors get great exposer. Each of our productions has an average attendance of 1,000 – 1,200 and all productions are advertised in the community at large. Arts Guild also maintains a high social media profile. To become a patron or corporate sponsor, please download our sponsor brochure.

Want Reserved Seating at Lower School, Middle School, or Upper School Arts Productions?

USJ Arts Guild is looking forward to a exciting year filled with awesome events to showcase students' many talents and the wonderful fine arts programs at USJ. We would love for you to be a part of this great group of talent. By partnering with the Arts Guild, our students can reach new heights in pursuing their artistic talents. Through the Patron/Corporate Partnership Program, your support benefits each art, band, choral, music, and theater teacher, as well as students.

Beginning in junior kindergarten, our Lower School music teachers direct and produce seven musicals each school year. Our Bruins Art Gallery showcases the work of our Cubs through fifth grade students. Middle and Upper School students are well represented in All Northwest Honor Choir and Band, as well as in regional competitions. Artwork from USJ students at all levels continually receives recognition and awards at local, state and national levels. Musical productions in the Blankenship Theater showcase not only the theatrical talents of our students, but the talents of all divisions of the Arts Program, choral, band and visual art.

A description of each level of support the program provides, as well as the benefits associated with each level is below. Pledge your support by downloading this form. We hope that you will consider supporting the Arts Guild this year to ensure that the fine art program at USJ remains one of the best in the area.

Corporate and Legacy Sponsors Procedure for Reserved Seating for Fine Arts Productions

To reserve your seats for any production, please contact Amy Koerner by text or cell, 267-0333, before noon on the day before the performance that you have chosen.

There are 4 Middle/Upper School productions each year and each production has many performances.  You are allowed to use your allotted tickets/reserved seats to any performance or performances that you choose.

(Example: If you are a Platinum sponsor, you have 10 tickets, which entitle you to 10 reserved seats. You can use all of your reserved seats at the 7 p.m. performance, for example, or you can use five seats for the 7 p.m. performance one night, three seats for the 7 p.m. performance the next night, and two seats for the Sunday matinee.)

The Lower School has several productions. and they are usually only one night. You still must call by noon the day before the production in order to reserve your seats.

Patrons will not be given reserved seating to the Middle/Upper School productions. Due to the number of reserved seats, we ask that you please adhere to the policy of reserved seating.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact any Guild member.
