Accelerated Reader Point Clubs
All students in first through fifth grades participate in the Accelerated Reader Program. Its goal is to build a lifelong love of reading and learning in students.
Students who reach certain goals will be rewarded with special treats. Second grade students who earn 25 points or more will become members of the “25-Point Club,” third grade students who earn 50 points or more will become members of the “50-Point Club,” and any second through fifth grade students who earn 100 points or more will become members of the “100-Point Club.” Each quarter those students will be treated by Debbie Ford, Lower School director, and Stacey Glover, Lower School librarian, with some sort of special reward.

Leadership opportunities begin in the Lower School. The Fourth Grade Honor Council, for example, is selected each semester. It represents two students from each classroom. The Fifth Grade has a student council, which is elected each semester.
