Enrolling another child next year?
USJ Families:
If you have another child who you are interested in enrolling in USJ next year, please submit an application and $50 application fee to the admissions office at your earliest convenience. I will begin processing applications for new students for the 2012-13 school year in January. Please remember that spaces in some grade levels are limited so do not delay in beginning the enrollment process. Re-enrollment agreements for current USJ students will be mailed the first week of February.
You can submit an application and the application fee online by visiting USJ’s website, http://www.usjbruins.org/about/admissions.html or by requesting a packet from the admissions office. Contact me at 731-660-1692 or at kshearin@usjbruins.org if you have questions or need further information.
Thank you.

The Bruins Network
USJ and the Bruins Club have joined the PlayOn Sports Network affiliated with TSSAA to produce videos associated with school functions. The inaugural class of 18 students has been busily recording and editing many of the fall athletic events. Other school events will be recorded and made available to the USJ family.
The Bruins Club enthusiastically supported this program with the purchase of a laptop computer and two HD digital cameras. You will see USJ students filming and broadcasting many school events throughout the year.

Fine Arts Patrons and Corporate Sponsorship
The Fine Arts Guild would appreciate your support in our efforts toward a successful school year! With your help, our students can reach new heights in pursuing their Fine Arts talents. Every teacher benefits as well with the ability to purchase materials for their classrooms that may not be possible without our funding. At USJ, we are proud to say Fine Arts consist of four key areas of study – Visual Art, Band, Music and Theater.

We are once again asking for your help in keeping the Arts alive at USJ by being a Fine Arts Guild Patron or a Corporate Sponsor, both of which offer you benefits for being a supporter of the Arts at USJ. Patron sponsors are $100.00 a year, which guarantees you two tickets to any production, with reserved seating for lower school productions.

Corporate Sponsorships are also available and include tickets and reserved seats to all productions on all campuses, listing on our sponsor board at each production and an ad in our sponsor book.
For more information on the Guild and/or becoming a Corporate, Legacy, or Patron sponsor, visit...

Moms In Touch Ladies Prayer Group
All ladies are invited to attend our Moms In Touch Ladies Prayer group that meets for one hour each week to pray for our children and our school. We meet on Wednesday mornings immediately after morning carpool at the Prayer Garden, which is located behind the high school gymnasium. On rainy or cold days, we meet at the Football Field House.

Communicating through E-mail
Research tells us that engaged parents, committed to their children’s learning and to the success of their schools, are among the richest assets a school can claim. Using email has proven to be a great way for our school to communicate with our families more efficiently.

Since USJ has gone paperless and communicates mainly through email, it is important that we have a current email address for each of our families.

If you are not receiving emails, your email address has changed, or you’re not sure whether or not we have the correct email address(es), please send an email to Rhonda Klipfel with the following information:
Students’ name/grade, Parents’ name, email address(es) you would like to receive emails, and any other contact information that may have changed.

As always, please visit the USJ website and the online calendar often for the latest news and information.
