Tagging Instructions
These must be followed exactly! Correctly tagging your items is the most important thing you can do to ensure that you receive full credit for all of your sales. Please read and follow all of the guidelines when tagging your items. To make our check-out process run smoothly, any tags done incorrectly will need to be re-done when you drop off your items.
Cards:
Use 3x5 index cards please! If printing out on a computer, please use heavy weight paper or card stock. Tags printed on normal printer paper will tear off easily and become separated from your item.
Pins:
Use medium to large safely pins only! No small gold pins or straight pins they will fall off!
Hangers:
All clothing must be on wire hangers plastic ones break and clothes end up on the floor. Plastic coated wire hangers are fine check with your dry cleaners or the dollar store if you need supplies. If you do not wish to purchase infant wire hangers, you may bend the ends of the larger hangers before placing your clothing item on the hanger. The hanger hook should face to the left with the tag pinned onto the right side of the garment as you face it. Pin clothing-sets together on one hanger, with the pants or skirts pinned to the outside so both pieces can be viewed. Pin pants and skirts onto the top side of the hanger to keep them from sliding to one side.

Consignor number:
If you are a new consignor and you don’t have a number, simply bring items tagged and ready to place consignor number on them on receiving days. Or, you can email us to request a number at usjweeexchange@aol.com. Be sure to include your name, address and phone number. Make sure that your consignor number is correct and on every item you bring. Do not make corrections on a tag make a new tag if this is necessary. Double check at drop-off to make sure we have your consignor number correct. Your profit depends upon this information!
Size and Description:
Please use a size and not a S, M, or L. Give a short description on your tag in case it becomes separated from the item. Ex: "girl’s blue Oshkosh jumper with blue blouse," rather than "jumper with shirt" will help in matching items with lost tags and there’s always a few!
Price:
You set the prices of the items that you bring. Price to sell! For clothing we suggest at least 50%-75% off the original retail price, depending on the name brand and condition. Big ticket items can bring more of their original price. Please keep your prices in full dollar increments (no $1.99, $6.50, etc.). If you do not want an item to be sold for half-price, put the letters N.D. (no discount) in the bottom left corner of your tag.
Non-Clothing Items:
Group small items together in a zip-lock bag. Pin the 3x5 card to the outside of the bag. Attach shoes to each other with pins, or string and attach your 3x5 card to the shoes. Use heavy tape to attach cards to non-clothing items. Scotch tape will not hold and your cards may become lost if not securely attached. Again, make sure the description is sufficient to match up in case the card becomes separated.
Sort:
Have your clothes arranged by size and sex. This will make drop-off faster and easier for you.

We're now accepting womens' clothing/shoes
At the request of our contributors, we are now accepting women’s clothing and shoes. Due to space constraints and the fact that women’s styles frequently change, we will only be able to accept the following:
• Fall & Winter Items only for the Fall/Winter sale; Spring/Summer items only for the Spring/Summer sale
Business Attire and Nice Casual Wear items
• No accessories (purses, belts, jewelry, etc..) will be accepted.
A limit of 25 womens items per person will be accepted. Please note that this is in addition to the count for the childrens sale. We will be VERY selective with the items we accept for the sale. The current style and condition of the item will be the guidelines.
Clothing must be on hangers and will be subject to the same pricing, labeling, string, and inspection requirements as the childrens items.
More Tagging Instructions:
If you follow these instructions, it speeds up the process at drop-off for you.
Start with a 3x5 card, turn horizontally. Pin the card to the item securely.
Tags do not have to be printed, but a professional appearance certainly helps make the item stand out form the others.
All hangers must be coded with yarn or curly ribbon in your consignor number sequence listed below.
Please cut the yard or ribbon 3-4 inch and tie with a knot at the neck of the hanger.
Make sure to pin pants and skirts to the top of the hanger. When you pin them to the bottom, they slide to one side and are more difficult for shoppers to see on the rack.
Appearance does matter. If they can be seen better theyll sell better!

Become a WEE Volunteer!
Workers get early shopping benefits. You need to work only one six-hour shift to shop early. The more hours you work, the earlier you get to shop. We need workers from check-in through pick-up. You dont have to be a USJ mom to participate in the sale as a contributor or a worker.
