Tagging Instructions

Once you have registered for the sale, follow the link to enter your items online.

You must enter each item into the inventory.

You cannot use duplicate tags or you would only be paid for one item. You must have an inventory entry and tag for each item you bring to the sale.

Tags must be printed on 60-110# cardstock paper (10 tags per page).  Items will not be accepted unless the tags are printed on cardstock.  It is okay to use light, pastel-colored cardstock paper.  The colors we will accept are light blue, light green, light yellow, and light orange.  These are the only colors we will accept at this time.

All computer generated tags must be printed as they are and NOT modified or re-sized in any way.

How to tag shirts, coats, jackets, tops, etc.:

Clothing should be on wire hangers with the hanger neck opening to the left. Small or children’s items may be on plastic hangers.  The tag should be pinned (no small or gold pins) on the right side of the item when looking at it, as shown.

Only safety pins can be used to secure tags to clothing. There will be a $5 fine for any consignor using straight pins instead of safety pins, and your items will not be displayed on the sales floor.

How to tag pants, shorts, skirts, etc.:

Pants, skirts, shorts, etc, should be securely pinned (no small or gold pins) to the top of the hanger with the hanger neck opening to the left.  The tag should be pinned (no small or gold pins) on the right side of the item when looking at it, as shown.

Only safety pins can be used to secure tags to clothing. There will be a $5 fine for any consignor using straight pins instead of safety pins, and your items will not be displayed on the sales floor.

How to tag shoes:

Shoes should be tied together and placed inside a large ziplock bag. The tag should be taped securely to the outside of the bag.

Child Safety Seat:

Please review this web site (ODI - Office of Defects Investigation - Child Restraint Recalls by Manufacturer) if you are selling a child safety seat. If your child safety seat is more than five years old or listed as "recalled" on this web site, it will not be sold.

Toys

The U.S. Product Safety Commission periodically issues toy recalls. If you are selling toys, please review the CPSC website for specific details on all recalls issued and do not consign items that are a part of any recall.

Donated Items

All items that ARE donated are shared among many charitable organizations throughout our community. This is a wonderful service, and we appreciate your donated items to help fulfill the many needs of others within our community.
***You may now choose to donate all items to USJ for the consignment sale. These items must already be on hangers (if applicable) and prepared for the sale. We will tag and put the items in the sale and all the profit goes directly to the sale and you will receive an acknowledgement of your donation as a tax deductible contribution. Your unsold items will then be donated to local charities.
Please check the "DONATE" box if you wish to donate your item should it not sell when entering your item into inventory. After your tags are printed, you will need to highlight (using a yellow highlighter) the word "DONATE" on the cards of the items you wish to donate.
If you do not wish to donate your unsold item(s), please do not check the donate box!!!

Note to Consignors:
We make every effort to protect your property, however, we are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.
