USJ Highlights

Haylen Ayers: A Rising Star in Basketball

Haylen Ayers, a standout sophomore in the Class of 2027, is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about names in high school basketball. The multi-talented athlete, who has already received offers from a prestigious list of universities including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Texas, UCLA, Tennessee and many more, is making waves both on and off the court.

St. Jude 2025 Math-A-Thon

On February 21, 2025, USJ’s Lower School students once again demonstrated extraordinary generosity through their efforts in raising funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital during this year's Math-A-Thon.

 Engagement Revisited

Standing on the porch of the Weston Tennis and Golf Center looking down on a busy campus on a recent spring evening after attending a lower school musical, I took a moment to soak in all the activity, a visual reminder of our point of emphasis for the year. Spring brings with it a campus abuzz, a flurry of games, concerts, and recognitions…a most wonderful time of the year, in its own right.

Joint Release

The University School of Jackson is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Shane Jacobs as the new Head of Upper School, effective July 1, succeeding Mr. David Suber, who is relocating to South Carolina. USJ is also introducing a newly created role—Middle and Upper School Dean of Faculty—which will be filled by long-time faculty member and department chair Mr. Jimmy Glosson.
